Vendor information

You are invited to be a part of Walla Walla’s annual “4th of July in the Park” celebration in Pioneer Park. From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pioneer Park (bordered by Alder, Division and Whitman Streets) will be filled with arts and crafts, culinary delights, games for children of all ages, and nonstop entertainment. This year the community celebration will once again conclude with a rousing show of the finest fireworks display in the area adjacent to Fort Walla Walla Park and the Walla Walla Veteran’s Hospital. In previous years, this celebration has attracted 10,000 to 12,000 visitors to the park.

The Park has a circular drive and in the center is a gazebo for entertainment. Arts and crafts booths will be spaced around the inside of the circle, where electricity is unavailable and the outside (where limited power is available) will include food booths, additional arts and crafts booths, information booths, etc. The road is used as the walkway for public access. Vehicles will not be allowed to remain in the park after set-up. City regulations do not allow overnight park sleeping. The parking lot adjacent to the Little League field on Ruth Street will be available for cars and motor homes, along with restroom facilities.

Vendor Forms:

Windstorms over the past several years have resulted in the removal of over 100 trees and many more branches in the park yet you will find its grandeur as striking as ever.  The City of Walla Walla has worked diligently to replant trees lost and beautifully maintain the hundreds that remain.  Many of you have shared this day with us before and appreciate the park’s natural tree shade. Of course, we cannot control shade in Pioneer Park and regret we cannot guarantee vendors all-day shade.  Please review the enclosed map, which is close to the numbering on former maps, as it should assist you in making space preferences.  Simply mark the area of your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices or use numbers, if known.  We will not change booths after assignment.

Festival participants who plan to either sell or distribute any type of food or beverage must have a current, permanent food permit or apply for a temporary food permit for this event. Please contact the Environmental Health staff at the Walla Walla County Health Department, Environmental Health Services Division, (509.527.3290) or via their website, www.co.walla-walla.wa.us. The Union-Bulletin must receive valid documentation of application or award of this permit before June 27, 2010 for participation in the event. Documentation includes: payment receipt; actual permit copy; or other documentation signed by Health Department staff.
